My Therapeutic Style
I have extensive experience in behavioral health, working with individuals experiencing suicidal and homicidal ideation, psychosis, and aggressive/assaultive behaviors. I have a particular focus and preference for working with BIPOC individuals and African American youth. I am committed to creating an inclusive and affirming environment, with a focus on being LGBTQ+ friendly, queer-centered, and BDSM/kink aware. Additionally, I have experience supporting individuals struggling with body image, self-esteem, physical and sexual trauma, boundary-setting, and attachment styles.
My approach is grounded in accountability and authenticity. I use an individualized style, tailoring my techniques to the unique needs of each client. I believe in processing authentically with my clients, encouraging an open and honest dialogue. I prioritize creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can feel vulnerable and supported. modalities.
My sessions are guided by kindness, self-compassion, and understanding, fostering an environment that encourages self-expression and personal growth. I help clients develop self-identity through self-awareness, self-care, self-love, and self-expression, while supporting them in finding the best version of themselves. If this appeals to you, please reach out!
Extra Info: I maintain a scrapbook of notes, poems, and illustrations from past clients, which reflects the full spectrum of their therapeutic journey—the highs, the lows, and everything in between.
