My Therapeutic Style

My counseling style is warm, compassionate, empathetic, authentic, and engaging. I am a firm believer in establishing a good rapport with people and building a strong therapeutic alliance. I believe in and practice unconditional acceptance and encourage people to express themselves freely. My theoretical approach is integrated and tailored to meet each client’s needs. It combines a mixture of cognitive behavioral, person-centered, solution-focused, Christian, trauma focused CBT, mindfulness, and gestalt therapies (just to name a few treatment modalities).

Past clients have struggled with trauma, depression, PTSD, anxiety, social phobia, relational issues, vocational stress, family/marital conflict, anger/irritability, low self-worth, suicidality, and ADHD. I am currently working with a number of military veterans suffering from PTSD amongst other things. I have worked with several members of the LGBTQ+ community regarding relationship issues, depression, and anxiety.

Clients appreciate my insight, wisdom, authenticity, genuine care, and concern. They each have gained insight into their pathologies and learned how to be more self-aware, mindful, insightful, emotionally self-regulated, and overall better equipped to handle/manage and overcome any challenges that life presents.
