My Therapeutic Style
I utilize an eclectic array of treatment modalities. At my core, I am a person-centered therapist. I believe the client is the expert, and our work is transforming limiting beliefs that are conscious and or unconscious through cognitive restructuring and exploring the narratives we’ve created based on our experience. Sometimes changing the perspective through talk therapy can transform how we see ourselves, our past wounds, and our future. I often explore attachment styles and attachment wounds across lifespan and how they’ve impacted how we show up for ourselves and within our relationships.
Past clients have struggled with navigating systems and situations outside of our control, such as geopolitical events, as well as navigating mental health symptoms when basic needs are not being met or are under threat, such as housing and income.
I infuse humor into my work, as I do in all aspects of my life. Therapy can be a tough space. Healing is not always easy or joyful in the moment, but gentleness and humor are values that clients have appreciated in our work, and cited as factors that helped them feel supported and safe to do the work.
