Practice Philosophy
In my practice, I integrate a strong foundation in behavioral psychology with a commitment to individualized care. With specialized training in School Psychology and hands-on experience in community mental health, I understand the profound impact that a tailored therapeutic approach can have. I recognize that the decision to seek therapy can be challenging, and finding the right therapist is a crucial step in the process. Research highlights that the success of therapy is significantly influenced by the strength of the therapeutic relationship. Therefore, I am dedicated to fostering a safe, non-judgmental, and culturally-sensitive environment where clients feel valued and understood. My goal is to work collaboratively with each individual, respecting their unique needs and goals to facilitate meaningful and lasting change.
“Healing is a shared journey; with every client I work with, I find a piece of my own healing. Our relationship is a bi-directional process, where both of us grow and heal together.” – Me
My Background
I have a profound passion for empowering individuals by helping them uncover their inner strengths and natural capabilities to create positive change and nurture healthy relationships. My journey into this field was a natural extension of my desire to guide others through their personal paths while making a meaningful impact on their lives. Originally from Pickens and Camden, Mississippi, I recently relocated to Texas and am embracing the learning curve of becoming a true Texan, though mastering local driving habits remains a challenge. A key aspect of my personal and professional growth is my commitment to continuous self-improvement. I believe that by continually evolving, I am better equipped to assist others in building fulfilling lives they do not feel the need to escape from.
“True transformation comes from both self-discovery and the ability to guide others in discovering their own path.” – Me
A Few Fun Facts:
In my spare time, I enjoy a variety of hobbies, including reading, listening to music, practicing photography, and writing poetry. I also have five God-children whom I absolutely adore, so when I’m back in my hometown, I often spend time with them.
