My Therapeutic Style

Change is challenging, from big life situations to small behavioral changes, and every person has internal resources. Identifying those resources can be fundamental in the therapy process. I also encourage clients to fully explore their options and make the best decision for themselves. Finally, we’ll work on building new skills to better cope with life challenges.

My therapy style is strengths based, trauma informed, and collaborative. My approach is generally a combination of exploring/ processing thoughts and emotions as well as increasing skills. Past clients have struggled with managing anxiety related to work performance, life changes or social situations, setting/ maintaining boundaries with family/ friends, reliance on substances, and managing depression symptoms or finding joy in life.

New clients can expect an open, compassionate environment where they can explore their current struggles. We’ll collaborate, talking through the therapy process and goal setting together. Clients always have an opportunity to share any preferences and discuss concerns.
