My Background
Mental health and daily life stressors continue to impact individuals and their ability to cope. I believe that everyone has the ability to cope with various situations, however sometimes we need to identify ways to implement coping skills effectively. I also believe that everyone strives to be heard and accepted. I make it my goal to provide an environment in which individuals can be vulnerable and express their thoughts and emotions. Seeking therapy and making a change can be a scary process and my goal is to help with decreasing the fears and negative associations related to seeking help.
I have experience working in various settings including inpatient and outpatient settings through behavioral health hospitals, alternative school settings, and private practice. I have worked with various age groups through implementation of a cognitive behavioral approach.
I strive to provide an environment in which individuals can come to feel safe and supported to process their thoughts and emotions. My goal is to help individuals understand how they process their thoughts and the impact their thought patterns can have on their emotions and behaviors while working to identify alternatives.
A Few Fun Facts
Outside of the therapy room, you might find me playing video games and cooking. I enjoy watching various cooking shows, comedies, and supernatural related shows and movies. Connecting on a personal level is essential, and I look forward to getting to know you better!
