My Background

I have an immense passion for helping individuals, specifically adolescents and adults, by assisting them to step outside of their comfort zone in order to create positive change and foster healthy relationships. I started my professional journey in a residential treatment center for substance abuse and co-occurring disorders then transitioned to community mental health in the non-profit world. I grew up primarily in the DFW metroplex, but lived throughout the US. Over the past 14 years I have been residing in Fort Worth area completing my Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Master of Arts in Professional Counseling. I’m actively involved in creating a healthy work life balance as a new parent and counselor. Thus, I believe that it is important to lead by example with my clients while providing a safe and empathetic space for my clients and I to build trust.

A Few Fun Facts:

I am the 7th “J” name within my family. My partner is from India, and we just had our first child. When I am not wearing my therapist hat, you can find me hanging out with family and friends, playing soccer, being outside with nature, and trying new foods. Whether it’s diving into a new book with my book club or spending time with my child, these pursuits not only warm my heart but also remind me to create a positive and enriching environment for myself and my family. It is important to me to build a safe, positive environment that elicits growth and allows me to maintain a healthy work-life balance. I’m excited about the chance to deepen connections with clients as we embark on a therapeutic journey together.
