My Background
I first became aware of my interest in Therapy shortly before Graduating from the University of Minnesota and obtaining a Second Bachelor’s Degree in Social Welfare. (Social Work Courses without the actual “Work”) I also had an interest in Physical Therapy and pursued this as an Enlisted Member of the Navy Hospital Corps where I succeeded in becoming a Physical Therapy/Occupational Therapy Technician. After practicing as a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant in Texas for a few years,I utilized my GI Bill to pursue a Masters in Social Work from Our Lady of the Lake University of San Antonio. Prior to completing my Masters Degree I trained as a “Stephen-Minister Leader” in two Lutheran Congregations as well serving as a “Life-After-Loss” facilitator for the American Cancer Society while employed with a Hospice Agency. During my Navy and Army careers I was also teaching CPR Classes on a regular basis as well as some Courses for Park University, St.Phillips College, and UTSA. I’ve become a Social Work Supervisor for those Social Workers pursuing their LCSW in Texas. I enjoy a number of sports: Baseball, Football, Hockey, Boxing. My Spouse and I have become “BeeKeepers” which is fun and is also my “Ag Exemption” . I enjoy primarily “Comedies” as well as “History-Related Stuff” for books or Movies and have utilized my Tenor Voice for previous Church Choirs.
