My Background
I have experience providing individual, couples, family, and group therapy in dual-diagnosis treatment centers, community mental health, and schools. My broad experience and training allow me to help with various issues while providing a space and relationship that is safe, respectful, and free of shame.
My job is to collaborate with my clients to identify what is distressing them, what they want to change, and how they can achieve their goals in therapy. I work at my client’s pace and tailor my approach to their unique concerns, priorities, and needs. I work from an inclusive and anti-oppressive framework, so my clients can expect me to honor and embrace their identities, cultures, and perspectives.
Life can be difficult, and we all try our best. Sometimes, we need help, and asking for it is a strength. That’s what we will focus on: the strengths and wisdom you already possess. Your goals are my goals, and my focus is on empowering you to live the life you want to live and be the person you want to be while targeting the things that may be getting in your way. My healing-centered approach works to help you embrace who you are and encourages you to connect with the people and things that matter most. Finding the right therapist can be daunting, so we will take time to get to know each other and let you decide if we’re a good fit for your therapy journey.
