Background Facts:

I’m originally from Sulphur Springs, TX which is mainly known for giant dairy cows and glass bathrooms. Give it a google. I earned my BSW and MSW degrees from Texas A&M University-Commerce with a minor in equine studies. Go Lucky Lions! I have extensive training in dialectical behavioral therapy and over six years of experience working with families navigating the medical and mental health system.

I have always valued humor, honesty, laughter, vulnerability, and authenticity with my clients. My core values are centered on professional integrity, relational ethics, respect for diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a commitment to continuous self-development.

 I specialize in following areas:

  • Helping clients learn emotional regulation, interpersonal skills, mindfulness, and distress tolerance.
  • Working with individuals experiencing life changes, loss of relationships, grief, loss, religious trauma, and generational trauma.
  • Working with individuals who have children with complex medical conditions and/or behavioral conditions. This population has a special place in my heart after spending many years helping families better understand their child’s diagnoses and helping them navigate a world not designed for their children’s needs while advocating for change.

A few fun facts you didn’t know you needed to know.

Outside the therapy room, you might find me gardening, going on trail rides with my heart horse Big Booty Judy and watching Godzilla movies. Godzilla Minus 1 is my current favorite. I love going to concerts, getting tattoos, and sharing random Star Wars or horse facts. Â
