Licensed Professional Counselor – Associate

Hello, my name is Elizabeth or Liz and I am a counseling associate at Deep Eddy Psychotherapy. My goal as a therapist is to help my clients feel empowered and help them walk through the trials that life can bring.
I work from an eclectic therapy model, so I pull from theories such as cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered, strengths-based, multicultural, feminist, and mindfulness. I like to work with my clients individually to see which path works the best for them.

- Racial Identity
- Women’s Issues
- Self-esteem issues
- Spirituality
My Story
I was born in Los Angeles, California but moved to Fort Worth in 2004 and have lived in Texas ever since. I come from a biracial and bicultural family; my dad is Honduran and my mom is Chinese and I am the oldest of four.
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education from the University of New Mexico in 2014. I worked as a high school Spanish teacher in the Dallas area for three years before pursuing my M.A. in Counseling Psychology at Texas Woman’s University back in 2019. In my spare time, I love to travel, go to concerts and festivals, explore new restaurants around Austin, roller skate, hike, and volunteer at church.
