Welcome! My name is Caroline Hammond. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, supervised by Matt Halvorson.

Practice Philosophy

If you feel overwhelmed by your life or others’ expectations of you or stuck in repetitive patterns and relationships, therapy can be a safe and trusting space to identify feelings and triggers, connect with those distressing emotions, and develop acceptance and trust. By exploring your internal landscape, you can learn to attend to your feelings and desires. This can lead to more clarity and soften internal and external barriers to your desires. By exploring your rich inner world in a safe space, you can expand your awareness of yourself, learn to regulate your emotions, build trust and experience more agency in your life.

Approach to Counseling

As a counselor, I believe in creating a warm, safe and trusting environment so that you can process your feelings, thoughts and triggers. You are the expert on your life. My goal is to provide a non judgemental and compassionate space to let life’s complexities and contradictions unfold. I approach counseling with curiosity and believe that through asking questions, listening and discerning, profound change can occur. I hope to collaboratively work with you to find practical ways to alleviate suffering while also experiencing more connection and freedom in your life.

Finding a therapist can be challenging. I encourage you to schedule a free 15 minute consultant to learn more about the services I offer and if I would be a good fit for you. It would be an honor to work with you.

Background

Outside of counseling, I love to be outdoors, to hike and to play tennis. I love to build community by cooking for family and friends. Chopping vegetables at the end of the day helps me to feel grounded. I also love the arts and make an effort to see exhibits at museums in town and when I am traveling.
