About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor. With a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Counseling, I believe in the work of this field. Whether this includes group therapy, addiction psychoeducation, or pre-marital counseling, it is my honor to walk with you as you seek to recover or grow. Life can be heavy and emotions difficult to regulate. Throughout your journey, I recognize that it can be life-changing to add a non-judgmental support with tools to your team as you work to reach your goals by using your own strengths. Just as hurt and betrayal often take place in relationship, so do healing and change. In a session with me, you matter and you are safe.
Practice Philosophy
I have worked with a variety of ages and populations and I have experience leading adolescent groups, working with families in addiction and inpatient treatment, and coming alongside couples in a private practice context. I am certified in Accelerated Resolution Therapy for trauma and Prepare/Enrich for couples. The theories I draw from depend on the needs of my clients, including rational emotive behavioral therapy, strength-based, emotion-focused, and solution-focused therapy.
I will guide you in interrupting toxic thoughts in order to impact your emotions, behaviors & the consequences that follow.
Life can be messy. I am passionate about helping you navigate it with the communication, conflict resolution & connection skills that lead to happier and healthier outcomes. I invite you to courageously & vulnerably fight for yourself by doing the work in therapy. You are not alone!
