Licensed Professional Counselor

Pronouns: She/Her/Hers

Hi!

I’m Ash (she/her), and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor here at Deep Eddy Psychotherapy. I consider it a profound privilege to be invited to collaborate with clients on their healing journeys. Pursuing counseling is a very personal, very courageous choice, and so I’d like to share a bit about myself and my approach to counseling to support you as you decide if we might be a good fit.

I believe that the North Star of your wellness is within you. I also believe that healing often happens in the context of relationship with others. So, as a therapist, one of the things I most prioritize is the strength and security of our therapeutic relationship. I’m excited to work together with you as you move in the direction of your goals for a flourishing, authentic life. Along the way, you’ll find that my style is empathetic, warm, curious — and sometimes even humorous! I am social justice-oriented, and I have been frequently acknowledged for my ability to form a holistic understanding of systemic issues that individuals are facing, balanced with their most immediate concerns.

My approach to counseling is most deeply informed by the NeuroAffective Relational Model, which was developed with an eye towards treating complex trauma, and is applicable across many mental wellness concerns. My approach also is informed by Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Relational-Cultural Theory.

Who I Work Best With:

In addition to being a therapist, I am also a caregiver to my nonagenarian grandmother. I enjoy stand-up comedy, spooky books and movies, visual and performing arts, very long walks, crafting, and my awesome dog, Wilma.
