My Therapeutic Style
I see therapy as a collaboration between myself and my client. I bring experience, knowledge, empathy, and compassion but I always want to work with you towards what YOU feel is the most important. I value your strengths, insights, and the wisdom of your lived experiences. I love to work with clients who are ready to work together, to give feedback, to try new things, and to engage in honest self discovery. Life brings pain to everyone- but I also believe that we can find resilience even during extremely painful times.
Some of my main specialties include working with grief, depression, and anxiety. I work well with people who are finding purpose through an immutable challenge- especially hardships related to physical illness, mental illness, or caregiving.
I know the process of searching for a therapist can be a difficult one. It can even be intimidating to start therapy- maybe not knowing what to expect, how healing might look for you, or even IF change is possible. I’m dedicated to being a gentle and patient ally in your search. Please reach out to me if you’d like to talk more!
