My Therapeutic Approach:
My therapeutic style tends to be very interpersonal, relaxed, and engaged. I will frequently check-in about thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations that are arising during the session. I also help clients identify patterns and connections when appropriate to the therapeutic goals. I most often use an interpersonal culturally attuned person centered approach to therapy that integrates theory and interventions from ACT, DBT, MI, and solution-focused.
I have the most experience with treating depression, anxiety, suicidality, daily stress, burnout, relational difficulties (friends, families, partners), social isolation, ADHD, identity exploration, and identity based stress and trauma (e.g. racism, sexism, homophobia, etc.). I have the most experience working with individuals who are LGBTQ+, PoC, and/or neurodivergent.
I’ve had multiple clients comment on how they enjoyed my level of engagement during therapy sessions that I give them a lot of space to share and process and they appreciate that I actively participate in the session with them, rather than “staring at them the whole time.”
A Few Fun Facts:
I love horror movies, anime, Pokémon, nature, museums, and traveling!
