My Background

I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Texas with over 12 years of practice experience. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, active-duty military service members, hospice, and with individuals who are incarcerated. My passion is to help individuals reach their goals in therapy using effective, evidence-based interventions. My focus is trauma-informed, solution-focused using motivational interviewing, CBT, and DBT therapy. I have experience working with clients with a variety of mental health issues, grief and loss, trauma, school behavioral issues, family stressors, and life stressors. My goal is to help others find their voice and become empowered to reach their goals. I am excited to work with my clients and watch them accomplish amazing things. I am truly blessed to be a part of that process . My aim is to create a safe environment for my clients where they can express their feelings and never feel judged.

A Few Fun Facts or Interests:

I have been riding horses since I was five years old and have taught therapeutic horseback riding. I try to find time to fish daily and my favorite fish to catch is blue catfish. At any given moment there are five different fishing poles in my car. I am a mom to one wonderful boy who is 8. To continue my own journey of growth and finding joy I can be found painting, hiking in the woods , and pushing myself to learn new skills like archery , or home improvement projects . I love a good challenge and also value peace. I feel that it is important to always be learning and growing as a person.
