About Me
I have always found fulfillment in supporting and nurturing others, and my therapeutic style reflects that. I believe in compassionately meeting clients where they are at and acting as a facilitator to help guide them forward. A collaborative approach matters deeply to me in therapy; rather than being an authority figure, I want each client to feel empowered to become their own advocates through therapy.
As a woman of color and a member of the LGBTQ+ community, I especially would love to support members of these communities. Cultural competency is also a huge part of my therapeutic approach, as I believe that your identity and how it is being respected in a session can be a huge deciding factor in whether or not you can feel comfortable forging a relationship with a new therapist.
In my downtime, I tend to enjoy playing video games, hiking, reading, and just spending time being present with my friends. Connecting with others is a big part of my life, and I hope that comes through in how I approach my sessions.
