For me, therapy is a second career. After graduating with my MBA from the University of Chicago, I spent more than a decade in executive roles at startups and tech companies. The tech roller coaster was an amazing business experience. Unexpectedly, it fostered of love mentoring people through life and career challenges and changes which eventually led me to therapy.

As a therapist, I prefer to make very few assumptions, rather asking a lot of questions and letting the client’s experience and views guide our work. I believe that often the best path to lead someone down is hidden in their own words-they just may be too in the weeds of their own experience to clearly see it.

My clinical experience has been in a residential environment. Long-term problems included learning to navigate disorders such as BPD and ASD, as well as interpersonal issues, primarily with parents.

Something I hear from a few clients that I’m especially proud of is a self-reported increase in their self-esteem-Something almost all of my teenage clients struggled with. I have the life experience of an adult, but relate easily as if I were an adolescent myself. I want therapy with me to be fun!

A Few Fun Facts:

I’m an amateur toastmaster, having delivered 2 eulogies, officiated 3 weddings and been a best-man and maid-of-honor 4 times! I have also been an adult ring-bearer and even a flower girl (man)!
