What are psychological assessments for businesses?

Psychological assessments are evidence-based methods used to collect data about particular qualities of the human mind – personality, passions, and potential.  Typically, assessment services are conducted to determine the presence of  mental illness or cognitive issues in order to provide accurate diagnoses.

Psychological assessments for businesses are quite similar but without the goal of diagnosis.  Rather, the goal is to help leaders and team members gain personal awareness and language to describe their strengths and areas of growth.  All results are confidential to the business and are provided to your team either through a meeting with the assessment psychologist and/or written report.


What does a psychological assessment involve?


Psychological assessments for businesses are fairly simple.  You and/or your team will fill out empirically-validated assessment forms that ask personal questions about interests, preferences, and perspectives.  The assessment psychologist then takes the data, analyzes and compiles the information, and provides a report based on these findings along with recommendations.

This process provides your team with an opportunity to learn more about yourselves and those around you while discovering strategies for maximizing productivity, teamwork, and workplace satisfaction.
