Practice Philosophy

In my sessions my overall goal is to improve overall well-being including mind, body, and spirit. I believe that approaching all three of these areas are key to long term improvement. My main focus is the mind as I believe many of our troubles are a direct result of our thinking styles. I believe our thoughts determine our mood which then determines our actions. I also am keen on the therapeutic relationship between the client and I, as this factor is just as important as the interventions that are conducted. I have been told that I am very relatable which makes the therapy experience inviting and welcoming.

My Story

Growing up I observed the various unhealthy ways people in my environment managed the stress of relationships, work, and life obligations. Information regarding how to manage their stressors were not easily accessible and thus they engaged in unhealthy coping skills and maladaptive behaviors that only made matters worse.  As a direct result I was motivated to pursue a career in the mental health field learning about the interesting reasons why we do what we do and how to make significant changes and live a more meaningful life. I thoroughly love what I do and would love to assist you in your evolution.
