I commend my clients on the bravery of taking the first step towards health and wellness when stepping into my office for the first time. As a therapist, it is a privilege to join my clients on their journey. Together psychotherapy is a process of growth and healing while working collaboratively on what matters most to you. Treatment goals are individualized ranging from short-term focused work to long-term personal development. Therapy can help provide relief of symptoms and help you move from surviving to thriving.
My therapeutic approach is flexible to get to the heart of what my client is needing and integrates humanistic, emotion-focused, psychodynamic, mindfulness, self-compassion, and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques. As a generalist by training, I enjoy working with individuals across the lifespan. I have experience working with children, adolescents, college and graduate students, adults, and couples.
Before arriving in Austin, Texas, I spent time living and learning in Massachusetts, California, and Hawai’i. I completed my bachelor’s in Clinical and Research Psychology at Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, MA and my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California School of
Professional Psychology in San Diego. I have experience in individual, group, couple’s therapy, crisis intervention, and outreach.
I completed my APA Internship at I Ola Lāhui Rural Hawai’i Behavioral Health providing treatment in Honolulu, Aiea, & Kahuku Medical Center. My previous therapy experience includes working with college and graduate students at the counseling center of the University of San Diego, therapy and psychoeducational testing with 4th-12th-grade students at The Winston School of Del Mar, and treating severe mood disorders at Sharp Mesa Vista Hospital, Intensive Cognitive Behavioral Therapy outpatient program. Outside of the office, I enjoy interior design, restoring vintage treasures, hosting community events, and urban farming.
